Accommodation at The Old Park Hotel

The hotel offers a variety of individually styled bedrooms, both modern and traditional in décor. All rooms and suites have a private bathroom, Radiotel baby listening service, colour television, tea making facilities, and direct-dial telephone.

We have created several suites in the East and West Wings to accommodate large families. If you have children, you will only be offered a family suite as suitable accommodation.

We do have several double rooms that can take a cot.

The Spindler Suite

For that special weekend or a few days away, with or without the children, the Spindler Suite is the most sought after West Wing Room. It has a Victorian four-poster bed, a comfortable sitting area facing the sea, a children’s room, and a magnificent bathroom, which has a large bath and a walk in shower. This suite also affords excellent views across the garden to the sea. The children's room has two single beds and has original William Morris wallpaper.

The West Wing

The west wing rooms tend to be more spacious and have the charm of Victorian furnishings and decor. Several of the rooms have four poster beds. Not many west wing rooms have sea views, however they are very popular with our regular guests and tend to be booked first.

The East Wing

The East wing rooms are contemporary in style. In general they are not as spacious as the West Wing. Most of the East Wing rooms have sea views. Rooms that do not have sea views have views towards the woods and the cliff face beyond.

Our family suites are very popular. Each unit has a master bedroom, with double, twin or four-poster bed, a children's room and a bathroom. The majority of the children’s rooms have full size bunk beds. Cots are available when required. Several of the rooms in the East wing have now been extended to accommodate large families. Decor may be different from the room shown.

Here you can see the private hallway, the children's bedroom with bunk beds and the parent's room. The bathroom is also off the hallway. In most rooms, there is room for a cot adjacent to the bunk beds. Some rooms also have single beds.

A larger family suite might have 3 single beds for the children or bunks and an additional bed. For larger families we have several suites with 2 children's rooms.

We will only place you in a room that has sufficient beds - we do not use 'z beds' or similar.

Old Park Hotel Cuisine

Breakfast

We a offer a full English breakfast which consists of fried egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and grilled fresh tomato. You may select part of the above and also select poached or scrambled eggs. You may also help yourself to fresh grapefruit segments, fresh juice and your favourite cereals.

The Children's Mealtime

The children's special menu is only served between 4:45 and 5:45.

This meal is set up as a self service buffet when the hotel is busy. During quiet times, the meals are cooked to order with waitress service. In either case you are able to serve yourself with, various salads, cakes, jelly and other deserts.

Each day we offer a healthy main meal with the most popular meat and vegetables options. The vegetables are always fresh and prepared daily. You will also be able to obtain a 'chips and nuggets' meal and a pasta or a pizza dish. You may ask for the food to be blended and older children can get larger portions.

Adult Dinner

The Adult dinner is available from 7:00pm with the last entry at 8:30pm.

The menu changes daily. Below are a selection of the menu choices from last year.

Start with a rich homemade soup with a fresh crusty roll:

E.G. Leek and Potato, French Onion, Carrot and Coriander, Broccoli and Stilton.

You can choose from one of 4 Main courses. These tend to be a roast, a white meat dish, a fish course. Guests may request a vegetarian course on the booking form. Below are a selection of main dishes that may be available during your stay.

The Main Course is followed by a desert or cheese and biscuits and coffee or tea from the bar.
