Old Park - Isle of Wight. Where the woods meet the sea

Consider our Family Friendly Hotel set in 16 acres of woodland as a destination for your school visit for the year 2017. Our specialist family friendly hotel has over 30 bedrooms and has been hosting school visits for over 20 years. The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to bring children. It is a small Island packed with educational and fun locations. We have a mixture of single beds and bunk beds, which are fixtures in the family rooms. We do not use any temporary beds.

  • Accommodation for over 50 children
  • Free overnight familiarisation visit
  • Free accommodation for the bus driver.
  • Safe secluded location
  • Large car park
  • Large gardens with swings and play equipment
  • Party night with disco equipment for use
  • Homework area provided
  • Evening Badger Watch
  • Large Private Car Park

Our current rate for schools is £29 per night per student and £35 per night per adult, which includes breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal. This is based on the children having squash, cereals, toast and spreads for breakfast.
We do this as we have found that many of the children will not eat a cooked breakfast and teachers have suggested a limited meal and it has worked well. We can re-price if preferred to include a small daily cooked breakfast.
The adult price includes cereals, toast, juices and full English breakfast.

Activities for your Visit

We have listed a number of Island Attractions for your interest. We are on the southern tip of the island, just a few miles from Godshill and Blackgang Chine and 45 minutes from most of the other locations. Attractions on the mainland such as the Marie Rose can be visited as a day trip from the island, or on the inbound or outbound journey.
The Isle of Wight can be split into 3 horizontal zones to minimise travel on days out – West, Centre and East. These are noted below as (W), © and (E)
